As a team, we collaboratively developed a website dedicated to showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Gucheng District, Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the goal of providing insightful information to tourists. Our objective was to delve into the significant meaning behind this remarkable location and offer recommendations for visitors to fully immerse themselves in its vibrant culture, thus enhancing their overall travel experience.
In this group project, my primary role involved thorough research and gathering of accurate and relevant information about Gucheng District, Lijiang. Ensuring ease of accessibility and user-friendliness, we designed the website to facilitate seamless navigation and provide visitors with valuable insights. Our comprehensive website covered with various aspects, inclduing recommendations for places to visit, explore, stay, and indulge in local culture.
Working on this project not only deepened my understanding of Gucheng District, Lijiang, but also honed my teamwork and communication skills. Collaborating effectively as a team, we successfully completed the website, and even receive compliments from our lecturer. Moreover, this experience sharpened my critical thinking abilities, ensuring that the information gathered would truly benefit our visitors. I firmly believe that the skills acquired through this project will prove invaluable in future endeavors, particularly when developing proposals for clients.

Our class had the privilege of collaborating with Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, where we were presented with a honourable opportunity to serve as a student tour guide for the exhibition named "Greetings and Blessings: Chinese New Year Cards Then and Now" at Singapore River Hongbao 2023 during Chinese New Year.
Being stationed at section 3: "Renewing Business Ties: Corporate Greetings Cards," my role involved delivering informative presentations on corporate Chinese New Year Cards from the 1950s to 1970s, elucidating their symbolic significance. To ensure effective communication, I proficiently convey the content in both English and Mandarin, enabling the public to gain a comprehensive understanding of the profound meaning behind these corporate cards. Additionally, I provided a guided tour for multiple secondary schools, where students was able to gained deeper insights into Singapore's historical and cultural back then. I've always engaged with the audience throughout and addressed their questions diligently.
This wonderful experience compelled me to step out of my comfort zone, fostering my confidence in bilingual public speaking and sharpening my communication skills, which make me more well prepared in future presentations towards public. As I presented to the public, I concurrently deepened my own appreciation for Singapore's vibrant culture. By participating in this exhibition, I have further developed my skills and expanded my knowledge in the realms of culture and public engagement.

This is a class event management project in the module Marketing & Publicity. Our class had to organize and host an Alumni Sharing Session, attended by up to 150 students. We invited alumni over to share about their internship experiences and provide valuable insights into different career pathways. In this project, I was assigned the leader of Operation Department, leading a team of four members. My primary responsibilities involves planning the layout and overseeing the program's seamless execution on the actual day.
Throughout the event preparation, I recognised the importance of effective teamwork and communication. Regular communication with my teacher was required as I had to update her on our layout plans. Likewise, communication with leaders from other departments allowed me to stay informed about any updates or adjustments, enabling me to promptly relay the information to my team members. By fostering good relationship and clear communication channels, we ensured everyone was well-informed and had a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
This project served as an invaluable platform for me to cultivate essential skills highly sought-after in the industry such as event planning, leadership, communication and teamwork. Notably, receiving the best performance award in this module further proves my competency in executive successful event management projects, demonstrating my aptitude for effective event planning, execution and collaboration, propellling me further towards my goal of pursuing a career in the chinese event management industry.
